SUMMARY:“Frida Kahlo e Diego Rivera. The Gelman Collection”
DESCRIPTION:Two different worlds, two universal artists\n“Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera. The Gelman Collection” narrates the incredible story of one of the most famous couples within the art world. A tormented and passionate relationship retraced through the most iconic works from the most important collection of Mexican art in the world.\nThe artworks in Jacques and Natasha Gelman’s collection date from a crucial time in Mexico’s history, a period when the country was undergoing a profound transformation through a series of political, cultural and social reforms.\nExecuted at a time of great ferment-when artists believed in their power to influence society-the works on display demonstrate how life and art in early 20th-century Mexico were linked to a range of contrasting experiences and ambitions. This complexity gave rise to a significant chapter in the history of modern art.\nHOURS\nMonday through Thursday and weekends: 10:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.\nFriday: 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.\nLast single admission, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday through Sunday: 7:00 p.m.\nFriday: 9:30 p.m.\nOVERTIME OPENING DAYS AND HOURS\n14.02.2023\nfrom 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.\n09.04.2023\n10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.\n25.04.2023\n10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.\n01.05.2023\n10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.\n02.06.2023\n10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.\nTICKETS\nFull 15 €\nOpen Full 17 €\nReduced 13 €\nValid for visitors aged 18 to 25, conventions and teachers\nThe exhibition is organized by the Vergel Foundation, MondoMostre and Skira in collaboration with the Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes y Literatura (INBAL).\n
