DESCRIPTION:Once again this year, Villa dei Vescovi is participating in the“Giornate delle Ville Venete,” a regional event entirely dedicated to the Venetian villas, aimed at showcasing “Civilization in the Villa” through special tours and activities.\nA special program dedicated to the history, architecture, and culture of the region.\nOrganized and produced by the IRVV—Istituto Regionale Ville Venete—and the Associazione per le Ville Venete, this event was created to raise awareness of, promote, and explore the heritage of the Venetian Villas through hands-on and engaging experiences: tours, tastings, workshops, readings, performances, conferences, and exclusive gatherings.\nWell-being, history, traditions, and gastronomy\nThe main themes of the day will be well-being and Venetian traditions—both culinary and otherwise—through an experience that combines history, culture, and conviviality.\nA weekend to rediscover Villa dei Vescovi from different perspectives—from architecture to wellness, from history to gastronomy—and to immerse yourself in the culture and traditions that make the heritage of the Venetian Villas so unique.\nProgram\nThe guided tours, scheduled for 11 a.m., 12 p.m., and 4 p.m., will include a special segment dedicated to Alvise Cornaro, a Paduan humanist who played a leading role in the design of the villa and authored the *Treatise on a Moderate Life*, in which he reveals the secrets to a long and healthy life: exercise, fresh air, and good food.\nAt 3:00 p.m., a special guided tour with Marco Cagnoni—an archaeologist who played a leading role in the archaeological investigations at Villa dei Vescovi—on the topic “Archaeology at Villa dei Vescovi”: exploring the excavations conducted at the Villa prior to its opening to the public, which revealed the phases preceding the 16th-century complex—from the baptistery to the burials found near the site and the anthropological context.\n
