On Saturday, July 18<\/strong>, the \u201cNotte Famosissima\u201d<\/strong> returns\u2014one of the most eagerly anticipated and evocative events in Venetian tradition: the Festa del Redentore<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A magical night when Venice comes alive with excitement, colors, and spectacle, featuring banquets on boats, festive celebrations, and the lagoon\u2019s unmistakable atmosphere. Thousands of people will gather in St. Mark\u2019s Basin to watch the famous fireworks display, which\u2014with reflections on the water and a play of light\u2014will transform the Venetian sky into a scene unlike any other in the world. <\/p>\n

The Redentore is much more than a festival: it is a tradition deeply rooted in the city\u2019s history, created to commemorate the end of the plague of 1575\u20131577 and which, over time, has become a symbol of togetherness, identity, and belonging. Even today, Venetians continue to observe the rituals, savor the flavors, and uphold the customs passed down through generations, making this celebration one of the most authentic and beloved in the lagoon. <\/p>\n

PROGRAM IN VENICE<\/strong><\/p>\n

Friday, July 17<\/strong><\/p>\n

Starting at 8:00 p.m., the votive bridge<\/strong> connecting the Zattere to the Church of the Redeemer on the island of Giudecca will open<\/strong> and remain open until midnight on Sunday, July 19.<\/p>\n

Saturday, July 18<\/strong><\/p>\n

Starting at 11:30<\/strong> p.m ., there will be a fireworks display in St. Mark\u2019s Basin<\/strong>. To watch the fireworks display, whether from land or by boat, you MUST reserve your spot online, as access will be limited.
\nInformation will soon be available on this page<\/a> regarding:
\n\u2014 access and reservation procedures for viewing the fireworks display, either from land (viewing areas divided into the Zattere, Piazzetta San Marco, Riva degli Schiavoni, and Giudecca sectors) or from the water;
\n\u2014 a breakdown of mooring areas by boat type;
\n\u2014 safety information regarding the event. <\/p>\n
