OLYMPICS: Olympic Flame passes through Abano Terme.
The “Great Journey” of the Olympic Flame: a relay race through all 110 provinces of Italy.
The relay, covers 12,000 kilometers in 63 days; includes 60 stages before the Opening Ceremony on Feb. 6, 2026.
The journey begins on Nov. 26, 2025, in Olympia, Greece, with the traditional lighting of the Olympic Flame. It then heads to Italy, arriving in Rome on Dec. 4, 2025 the initial stop on its journey through the host nation, carried by some 10,000 torchbearers.
The Flame will start from the Fallen Square in front of City Hall at 5 p.m. and will walk down Spa Avenue passing 5 special torchbearers from hand to hand until it reaches the Pedestrian Island to stop in front of theOrologio Hotel just before 6 p.m.
On January 26, 2026, the flame will arrive in Cortina d’Ampezzo to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Opening Ceremony of the 1956 Winter Olympic Games, held in the very pearl of the Dolomites.
The relay will culminate in Milan on Feb. 6, 2026, when the flame will enter San Siro Stadium during the Opening Ceremony of the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games.
