The Festival aims to promote awareness and appreciation of international cinema in all its forms—as art, entertainment, and industry—in a spirit of freedom and dialogue. One section is dedicated to highlighting restoration projects of classic films to foster a better understanding of the history of cinema, particularly for young audiences.
The official selection includes the following sections: Venezia 83, Venice Open (Out of Competition), Orizzonti, Venezia Spotlight, Venezia Classici, and Venezia Immersive
