Ciketi Iconic Food – Veneto Cicchetto Festival – 1st edition

From June 4-6, Venetian tradition meets contemporary creativity at Ciketi Iconic Food !

In the historic center of Cittadella, cicchetti will be the protagonists of a widespread tasting path: small tastings that start from the most authentic recipes and reinterpret them with new combinations, techniques and flavors. From the great Veneto classics to the most original proposals, each cicchetto will tell the story of territory, conviviality and a tradition that continues to evolve.

From more classic cicchetti (in saor, with mortadella and pickles, with cheeses) to fresher and more imaginative interpretations such as cicchetti with fruit.

Plus salt cod, meatballs, mozzarella in carrozza, folpetti, tartare, you name it!

And while taste conquers the city streets, nationally and internationally renowned DJs will enliven the atmosphere with their sound every night, turning Citadel into an open-air party.

During the three evenings of the event, the streets and squares will be filled with fragrances and colors thanks to a large diffuse tasting route. Among elegant wooden cottages and downtown venues, hosts and street chefs from all over Veneto and the Brenta Riviera will prepare many types of cicchetti, symbols of Venetian culture that encapsulate all the essence of our tradition from the Serenissima Republic to today.
But CIKETI is much more than a food festival:
– Shopping under the stars with stores open until midnight and historic center closed to traffic
– Musical performances with national and international DJs and artists, including Joe T Vannelli for opening night
– Scenic and sustainable urban installations handmade in fiberglass by the firm Gasparotto SRL of Nove
– Cultural routes and guided tours among the city’s landmarks, with the possibility of walking on the medieval walls even in the evening
