Pumpkin and ancient fruit festival

One of the most characteristic events of autumn is back at Villa dei Vescovi: the Pumpkin and Old Fruits Festival.
This year the event will take place over three dates, from Oct. 19 to Nov. 2.

The common denominator will be the pumpkin, declined in a typical market, an event dedicated to its use in cooking and a family day.
On Sunday, October 19, the appointment is with the typical market: 20 producers of pumpkin and ancient fruits, jams, compotes and mustards, honey, cheeses and seasonal vegetables in collaboration with Strada del Vino dei Colli Euganei and the Slow Food Colli Euganei e bassa padovana convivium. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Admission €5 to the market only, organized among ancient orchard, cedar plain and underpass, while a supplement will be charged for the visit to the Villa.

On Sunday, Oct. 26, Vescovi Bistrot chef Matteo Baù will lead two culinary insights into the preparation of a culinary journey with pumpkin as the protagonist (11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.). Stories and recipes with autumn flavors in a unique culinary experience in the setting of Villa dei Vescovi. Afterwards, it will be possible to buy pumpkin dishes and cicchetti and taste wines from the Enoteca strada del vino colli euganei. A perfect opportunity for lovers of good seasonal cuisine.

On Sunday, November 2, a special day dedicated to families among pumpkins and ancient fruits. Engaging activities for young and old, with educational workshops for boys and girls to discover nature, the land and the magical world of the pumpkin. An opportunity to learn while having fun together. There is a fee for the activities. Reservations are recommended.

For all three Sundays, guided tours will be scheduled at set times (11 a.m., 12 p.m. and 3 p.m.), during which it will be possible to discover the agricultural and productive soul of the Villa, including the vineyard, marascheto and ancient orchard.

Vescovi Bistrot, inside the Villa, will be open for lunch – reservations recommended.
At Enoteca Strada del Vino Colli Euganei – open during the same hours as the Villa – it will be possible to taste wines from many of the Euganean Hills wineries.
Villa dei Vescovi is located in Luvigliano di Torreglia (PD) in the Euganean Hills.
