Salone dei Sapori – The Festival of Taste
The “Salone dei Sapori ” is the first food festival created in the heart of Padua’s culinary scene to celebrate the 800th anniversary of Europe’s oldest covered market and to link it to a major regional marketing initiative in collaboration with Slow Food and the University of Padua.
The event is held at the Palazzo della Ragione(recently designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and the surrounding squares.
The Palazzo della Ragione has hosted talks with speakers and distinguished guests, as well as cultural and institutional events aimed at professionals, food enthusiasts, and students.
A multidisciplinary festival where the theme of taste is explored from every angle, with a program divided into two main areas: knowledge and flavors.
The area of knowledge
The narrative section includes a program of food education, scientific research, entertainment, and experiences for the public, with the aim of promoting food culture, local excellence, and spreading good eating habits by encouraging consumption.
The area of flavors
The experience section offers an itinerary that takes place in the squares and inside the Sottosalone, where you can taste and encounter the best products and local specialties, accompanied by moments of entertainment and music.
