Exhibition “Alfred Eisenstaedt. Photography was in the Air.”
An undisputed protagonist of twentieth-century photography, Alfred Eisenstaedt is at the center of Photography Was in the Air. The project invites the public to rediscover an author who was instrumental in defining the language of photojournalism. The title picks up on a reflection by Eisenstaedt himself on Germany after World War I, which was traversed by an extraordinary cultural vitality: it was in this context that the photographer was formed and began his work.
